Merle Barash is president and founder of Merle K. Barash Real Estate, Inc. since 1990. The company specializes in the marketing and sales of millions of dollars worth of exclusive Manhattan residential and investment properties. International and American clients work exclusively with Merle who is responsible for creating their portfolio of Manhattan real estate.

From 1985-1990, prior to founding her company, Merle was Director of Sales and Marketing for real estate developer Aaron Green Co. a prominent real estate development firm in Manhattan. Her extensive background in real estate development and marketing has earned Merle a stellar reputation in the industry.

Merle earned a Master of Arts degree in Psychoanalysis from the Boston Graduate School of Psychoanalysis-NY in 2006. It was her abiding love for animals that was the inspiration to write a Master's Thesis on the attachment between humans & animals.

During her tenure as photography instructor from 1977-1985 at the prestigious Horace Mann School, she earned the degree of Master of Art Education from the Hartford Art School in 1983. It was then that she produced a one woman photography exhibition of her work with an opening at Horace Mann School.

In addition to Merle's business acumen and artistic talent, her charitable efforts are evidenced by her serving as Vice President of the Strang Council at Strang Cancer Prevention Center affiliated with New York Presbyterian Hospital and Cornel Medical Center from 1994 to 2002. In 2010 Merle was appointed to the Board of Directors as an officer of Strang Cancer Prevention Institute.
